AWUTU SENYA EAST MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY MEMBERS TRAINED ON GOVERNANCE ROLES AND RESOURCES UTILIZATION

Assembly members in the Awutu Senya East Municipality have been equipped with crucial legal frameworks and guidelines to strengthen their effectiveness in public service. This was achieved through a two-day training workshop organized by the Municipal Assembly in collaboration with the Institute of Local Government Studies. Held on the 18th and 19th of October 2024 at the Awutu Senya East Municipal Assembly conference hall. The program focused on enhancing the assembly members’ ability to deliver on their mandates efficiently and responsibly.

Facilitated by the Chief Director at the Office of the Head of Local Government Service, Mrs. Felicia Dapaa, and the former Chief Director, Mr. Joseph Dasana, the training covered key governance practices and legal compliance. It highlighted the roles and responsibilities of assembly members, emphasizing their importance in local development.

During the workshop, assembly members also identified various resources within their respective electoral areas that can be harnessed to foster community growth and development.

Present at the event were the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Anita Love Obo Amissah, the Municipal Coordinating Director, Siegfried K. Addo, and other departmental heads, who participated in discussions and shared insights into effective local governance strategies
